Homemade Cookie Ideas for Snacking

It is always a real pleasure for a mother to be able to concoct good little dishes or recipes for snacks that her children will particularly appreciate. So, for the snack, I invite you to make cookies as crunchy as delicious at home. Cookies that are good for your health and that you will prepare yourself. Here are a few ideas for homemade cookies that you can easily make.

Colorful and fun shaped cookies

With children, you have to know how to play with shapes and colors so that they can find the pleasure in eating well. So, what I suggest you do first is to invest in cookie cutters with different shapes, such as a bare head, a bunny, or a heart, among others. With the recipe afterward, you will play with color and texture. The goal is to make cookies that are fun to look at and that make kids want to eat them.

Chocolate shortbread spirals for a snack

A cookie recipe that I find most simple to make is the chocolate shortbread spiral. You won’t need much, just 250 flour, 150g butter, 100g powdered sugar, two eggs, a little milk, cocoa, and 30g almond powder. For the preparation, you knead the butter with the sugar and the almond powder before mixing them with an egg, and in this dough will be added afterward the sifted flour. Then divide the obtained paste into two equal parts. With one half, add the cocoa mixed with milk, then let the dough rest in a cool place for two hours. Next, roll out the plain dough on a work surface into a rectangle shape. Do the same with the chocolate dough, then place them on top of each other and roll them up before brushing the entire surface with a beaten egg. Put them in the freezer for one hour and wrap them in cling film before cutting them into slices of a few centimeters and putting them in the oven at 180° for 15 minutes.
